People reported that Superior Court Judge Lawrence Mira told the actor in court yesterday,
"Now, you’re on your own. Good luck to you as you continue on your rehabilitation."
The 52-year-old star, who was found guilty of driving while intoxicated in 2006, was sentenced to three years of probation. "Thank you, your honor," Gibson told the judge. Gibson was spared a prison stay but was required to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Although the probation period has been completed, he will technically be under surveillance for another 18 months.
