A Rhythmic Tour for Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne will be doing the most energetic, rhythmic tour of her career.

According to Billboard.com, Lavigne promises that The Best Damn Tour, which starts on May 5, will be the best performance of all time.

The rocker would like her fans to have fun during her concert. "My inspiration for this record, a lot of it came from the live show and knowing what kind of songs I wanted to play live. I wanted to play fast, fun songs. I love playing songs like ‘Sk8er Boi’ onstage because the crowd just reacts, and I love it when everyone is freaking out and jumping," expressed Lavigne.

Lavigne’s album, The Best Damn Thing, has hit the top of the charts since its release, and is much more upbeat than her last disc. "My last record, ‘Under My Skin,’ was pretty mid-tempo and darker, so every song was like bringing down the audience. So I was just wanted to rock, which is why I made a very up-tempo record," she explained.

During this vibrant tour, Lavigne will have many dancers on stage.
