Scott Weiland Returns to Rehab

Scott Weiland, the singer of Velvet Revolver, has voluntarily returned to a detoxification centre.

According to Rolling Stone,Weiland has decided to try to take control over his life by giving rehab another chance.

The decision has forced Velvet Revolver to cancel their San Diego show for tonight (February 8), and will likely cause the cancellation of their upcoming Australian tour, which was scheduled for February 15.

Weiland’s fate will also affect the reunion of the Stone Temple Pilots which is scheduled for this summer.  Weiland, the lead singer for the Stone Temple Pilots, developed a heroin addiction in the 1990s, and was arrested for heroin possession in 1995.  He was then forced to enter a detoxification centre.
