Carey practically stopped production of the film Tennessee when she learned that director Aaron Woodley wanted to make her ugly on the big screen, reported FemaleFirst.
Mariah Carey will play a waitress in the film, a role that previously belonged to Janet Jackson, before she quit the project. Carey was not happy to learn that she would be asked to wear a fake nose and fake hairy eyebrows for the part. A source said, "Mariah is the nicest person to work with – everyone loves her. But she was uncomfortable at being made ugly for the part. When she saw the nose, she called her people and decided against it (starring in the film). She wasn’t a diva about it, but she did seem very insecure about her appearance."
However, Carey’s desire to star in a hit movie has pushed her to accept the director’s demands.
