The court ordered yesterday that Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, and lawyer Andrew Wallet, will be managing the singer’s fortune worth over $40 million until February 14. Spears was not pleased about her father’s involvement in her affairs.
Lawyer Adam Streisand, who was hired by Britney Spears, stated that her father’s control is only causing further distress for the singer.
Jamie Spears’ lawyers argued that their client was not trying to steal his daughter’s fortune. He would simply like to supervise his daughter’s estate until she is in better health. He also hopes to get closer to his children.
Britney Spears’ lawyer argued that Andrew Wallet is not qualified to manage the singer’s money. However, the judge ruled in favour of Wallet.
