The star of National Treasure: Book of Secrets, is thinking seriously of putting an end to his acting career.
The Oscar winner fears that his fans have seen enough of him especially now that he is in his 40s. Cage stated, "I’m not interested in showing my face or making statements. Some movie stars look like they are having a ball, but I’m tired of it. It has made me reclusive."
The fast pace of his movie career has also exhausted the 44-year-old actor who would like to be able to choose the movies he acts in now. "I know for the first time which direction I’m going in and what changes I want to make," Cage added.
In addition to having a lighter schedule, Cage now resides in the United Kingdom in a luxurious mansion with his wife Alice Kim and their 2-year-old son, Kal-el.
