Following her 2004 Oscar for her performance in the biographical drama Monster, Theron will now be given a Hasty Pudding award. The award is given to artists who make a lasting contribution to the world of entertainment.
The prize is given by Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the nation’s oldest undergraduate theatrical group.
Christopher Walken will also be honoured at the event. Last year, Ben Stiller and Scarlett Johansson were honoured, while in 2006, it was Halle Berry and Richard Gere.
