Spears’ legal team, directed by Sorrell Trope, will continue to help the star fight for custody of her two children, although the firm filed a request to be excused from the case on January 2, according to People magazine.
When asked if the team would be staying on with Spears, one of her lawyers, Anne Kiley, said, "Yes, we are."
Trope & Trope filed a request to be dismissed from the case, stating that they were having a communication problem with the star. A hearing for the request had been set for February 4. However, the firm’s spokesperson stated yesterday that the request for dismissal had been withdrawn.
