One of Williams’ friends told People, "She’s devastated."
Despite the fact that the couple put an end to their three year relationship last September, they had decided to maintain an amicable relationship for their daughter’s sake.
According to another source, Ledger, who will be seen in the movie The Dark Knight, was an amazing father. "He was absolutely in love with his daughter. He was playful and very funny with her."
She added, "I can’t believe Matilda is going to grow up without a dad, without knowing her father. And that Michelle will have to deal with having a daughter who’s lost her father."
