The band confirmed their agreement with Universal Music Group to create a soundtrack for the movie Shine a Light, by Martin Scorsese.
The album will be released next month. It was recorded in New York at two Stones concerts at Beacon Theater in 2006.
The group is happy to have worked with Universal Music, and to have had the opportunity to do this soundtrack.
The Scorsese documentary will be presented for the first time on February 7, at the Film Festival in Berlin. It will be in theatres in April.
