Forty-four albums will be considered for the Shortlist Music Prize of the year, which will take place at the beginning of 2008. Among the artists nominated are Wilco, Feist, M.I.A., Arcade Fire, Justice and LCD Soundsystem.
The ceremony considers discs that were released between January and November of 2007, that have yet to be certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Several guests will be invited to the event, including Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol and Ronnie Vannucci of the Killers.
