Jackass 2.5 Hits the Internet

Jackass 2.5 will be released exclusively on the Internet.

Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment and Blockbuster have decided to release the third installment of the Jackass film franchise only on the Internet.

Fans can view the antics of Johnny Knoxville and his clan from December 19 through December 31 at the following website: http://www.jackassworld.com/Jackass 2.5 includes scenes which were cut from the previous films.  On December 26, the 45 minute DVD will be released, featuring footage that has never been seen before.  Fans can download the footage from movielink.com, iTunes and Amazon.com.

According to Jeff Tremaine, the co-creator of Jackass, the Internet strategy will allow fans to catch scenes that would have otherwise gone unseen.  Tremaine said, "When we set out to make ‘jackass number two,’ we made more than a movie – we made almost two movies. All the guys were so red hot, we just couldn’t stop filming. Now with ‘Jackass 2.5,’ we finally have a great way to release the rest of this movie-worthy footage."
