Grammy Nominees Announced

Amy Winehouse and Kanye West have the most nominations for the next Grammy Awards.

British singer Winehouse was nominated in six categories for the Grammy Awards, which will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 10.  For the men, rapper Kanye West will compete in eight categories.

Among the suprises, four nominations went to Bruce Springsteen, who released his disc Magic last October.

Several Canadians are also getting attention.  Feist was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Vocal Performance for a Female Pop Artist.  Arcade Fire’s disc Neon Bible is up for Alternative Album of the Year, Michael Buble is also nominated for his song Everything.  Joni Mitchell is nominated in the Best Pop Instrumental Song for One Week Last Summer.

The Grammy Awards will be televised live on CBS.  Here is a complete list of the nominees for the 50th annual event:
