Sutherland arrived at the prison yesterday to serve the 48 days that he was sentenced to after driving under the influence of alcohol. People reported that the 40-year-old actor is at Glendale Prison in California.
A spokesperson from the prison stated, "Mr. Sutherland is very polite and humble. He was very cooperative during the booking process. He will be issued an orange jumpsuit, and will be housed alone in a cell, since he’ll be a long-term inmate."
Sutherland will be assigned to kitchen duties. He will serve breakfast and lunch to the other inmates.
The actor was found guilty of drinking and driving and of violating his probation.
