McCartney Changes Trip Route

Paul McCartney had to modify the route of his trip because he opposes fox hunting.

The legendary Beatle was making a visit to Fakenham to visit a vegetarian farm once owned by his late wife, Linda.  When his helicopter arrived, he was told he could not land because he is against fox hunting.

David Hunter, an avid defender of fox hunting and member of the West Norfolk Hunt Club, is also the man responsible for the runway where McCartney’s chopper was hoping to land.  Hunter said that if the helicopter was carrying McCartney, it was not welcome to land because of his views on hunting.

Fox hunting was banned in England last year, despite a campaign put forth by hunt supporters.

The 65 year-old former Beatle, who is coming out of his divorce from Heather Mills, had to land at another airport.
