Alanis Morissette To Be Inducted

The Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame will be inducting Alanis Morissette.

On March 8, 2008, the 33 year-old singer will be inducted to the Hall of Fame in recognition of her musical career.  The ceremony will take place at the Fairmont Royal Hotel in Toronto.

At the age of 12, the Ottawa native began her musical career on the television series You Can’t Do That On Television.  She then recorded several pop albums, and then shot to fame in 1995 with her aggressive disc, Jagged Little Pill on Maverick Records.  Her career is highlighted with several awards, including 12 Juno awards and 7 Grammy awards.

Morissette has also showcased her acting talent with appearances in Nip/Tuck, Sex and the City, and Degrassi: The Next Generation.  The star has also confirmed that she has joined the cast of the film Radio Free Albemuth.

The Canadian singer is currently working on a CD with producer Guy Sigsworth.  The project, which is being titled Flavors Of Entanglement, will be released next year.
