According to FemaleFirst, Ne-Yo has been missing from the American tour of R. Kelly after only two performances. The singer insists that he has no idea why he was let go from the tour, and representatives for R. Kelly are quick to remind the star that he did not have a contract. Ne-Yo stated, "I don’t understand their actions because I was rehearsing, doing media, promoting the tour, and performing. In my opinion, I was doing everything possible to make the tour a success."
According to Ne-Yo’s manager, the singer may have been dropped because he was too good on stage. He said, "The fans were really feeling his performances. He’s good; maybe he’s too good – that’s the problem."
