In the morning of October 31, Spears was a guest on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, where she talked about her new disc and her life as a mother.
Seacrest asked the singer if she was shocked by recent media headlines talking about Kevin Federline wanting custody of the couple’s two children, and criticism of Spears’ abilities as a mother. Spears said, "People say what they want and do what they do. It’s sad how people … how cruel our world can be. But at the end of the day you gotta know in your heart that you are doing the best that you can."
The star didn’t hesitiate to answer yes when Seacrest asked if she was doing better with her sons. During the interview, Spears was also promoting her new disc, Blackout, which was released on Tuesday (October 30).
