Director of Die Hard Accused of Perjury

The director of the movie Die Hard, John McTiernan was sentenced to four months in prison after he lied.

McTiernan was sentenced to four months in prison after lying to FBI agents about using the services of indicted detective Anthony Pellicano.

The director will serve his sentence starting January 15, 2008.  He will also need to pay a fine of $100 000.

McTiernan confessed that he had used the services of Pellicano once during his divorce proceedings.

However, the director later revealed that he had also hired Pellicano to catch one of his coworkers.
