People magazine reported that Britney Spears’ agent made a public statement on Monday, stating that she would be resigning, just a few hours after her lawyer resigned.
The Firm, stated, "It saddens us to confirm media reports that we have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears. We believe Britney is enormously talented, and has made a terrific record. But current circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job. We wish Britney the best."
Spears’ lawyer Laura Wasser has been representing Spears in her custody battle with Kevin Federline. Wasser stated that Spears will be in good hands with her new lawyer.
She explained, "I don’t want anyone to perceive that we’re dumping Britney."
Spears has had some problems since her comeback with the single Gimme More. She did a performance that was highly criticized at the MTV Video Music Awards.
