Owen Wilson Feeling Better

Actor Owen Wilson, who was hospitalized on August 26, after a suicide attempt, is feeling better according to the director of his most recent movie.

Director Wes Anderson reassured people when he said that Wilson was doing better, and had even started having some fun.

"Obviously he has been through a lot this week," said Wes Anderson, who directed Wilson in ‘The Darjeeling Limited’, one of the films in competition for the Venice Film Festival’s top award.

In a news conference he added, "I can tell you he has been doing very well, he has been making us laugh. When he is ready he’s going to speak for himself much better than any of us could."  He asked that the actor’s privacy be respected.

Last week, the 38-year-old actor was taken to emergency after the police received a call stating that the actor had tried to commit suicide at his residence in Santa Monica, California.  The following day, a press release was diffused to the media asking that the actor’s private life be respected to permit him to take care of himself and get better.
