FemaleFirst reported that the Santa Monica police responded to a call coming from Wilson’s house last Sunday at 12:08 pm. The call reported a suicide attempt.
Wilson, 38, was discovered by his brother, actor Luke Wilson. Owen Wilson overdosed on a combination of crystal meth and prescription drugs, and also slit his wrists. Apparently, Wilson has been depressed for some time, but the exact cause of the suicide attempt is uncertain.
There are speculations that Owen Wilson’s state may have had something to do with his breakup with actress Kate Hudson, who is now dating Dax Shepard. Another source reported that this incident happened right after an argument with a close friend.
