Chris Noth Playing in Sex and the City: The Movie

Chris Noth, who played Mr. Big on the successful television series Sex and the City, has signed on for this role on the big screen.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, have all accepted to play the same parts in this movie adaptation of the television series.  Michael Patrick King wrote the screenplay and will be directing the movie.

Michael Patrick King spoke about the character "Big" in the movie, "I assure you that Mr. Big is a very ‘big’ part of the ‘Sex and the City’ movie. While I have not spoken to him myself, Chris Noth assures me that Mr. Big is alive and well and ready to report to the set in September."

Noth, who is playing in the television series Law and Order: Criminal Intent, received a Golden Globe Award in 2000 for his supporting role in Sex and the City.

Sex and the City started in 1998 on HBO, and ran for six seasons.  This series received more than 50 Emmy Award nominations, and won 7 Emmy Awards.  Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker both received awards for their acting.  The series also received 24 Golden Globe Awards, and won 8 of those nominations, one of them being the Best Comedy Series.
