Barrymore has the starring role in the film, and will be co-producing with her company, Flower Films.
Ken Kwapis will be directing this movie based on the popular book which discusses modern day relationships, and how men and women misinterpret the intentions of the opposite sex. The screenplay was written by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, who also wrote the screenplay for the movie Never Been Kissed.
Barrymore will play a woman constantly questioning relationships. Jennifer Connelly will play a woman in a suffocating marriage, while Kevin Connolly plays a man in love with a woman who has an affair.
Ginnifer Goodwin will play a young woman obsessed with the characer played by Kevin Connolly, and tries repeatedly to meet him. She keeps falling on the man played by Justin Long, who tries to change her.
The movie will begin shooting in September in Los Angeles.
