The actor will star in the film inspired by an original idea by Mark Perez, in which a workaholic decides to quit his job to spend more time with his family.
Gervais was recently seen in the comedy Night at the Museum, along with Ben Stiller. He will next be starring in the film Ghost Town for DreamWorks.
