After the departure of Kevin Richardson, the Backstreet Boys decided to take a break. They are now returning with a yet-untitled disc, which will be released on October 30 on Jive Records.
The first single from the disc will be heard on North American radios on August 27, and is called Inconsolable.
The group worked on the new disc with the help of Rob Weiss and Dan Muckula.
Kevin Richardson left the group in June of 2006. Brian Littrell also took a different road and had some success with his 2006 solo release called Welcome Home.
Nick Carter has not lost touch with his fans, staying in the public eye with his reality series House of Carters, which also starred his younger brother, Aaron, as well as the rest of the Carter family.
The last CD from the Backstreet Boys, Never Gone, was released in 2005.
