Howard will be directing in collaboration with Universal Studios and his production company, Imagine Entertainment, which has acquired the film rights to the book.
The story follows Ivy League graduates who are approaching their thirties.
Howard has a few other films in the works, including Frost/Nixon, Angels & Demons, and he may also be working on a remake of the French film Caché et Colossus : The Forbin Project.
