The singer says she is ready to begin a new career and is studying scripts to find the perfect role.
During a press conference in Shanghai yesterday, Aguilera said, "I am looking forward to moving into another creative outlet and that outlet is acting. It is something that, when I attempt to do it, I want to do it right so it’s important for me that I do choose the right first role for myself."
The star does not want to completely forget about her music, and added that she already has new ideas for songs for her next album. Aguilera promises her fans that her next CD will be completely different than her last disc, Back to Basics, which was extremely influenced by jazz. She explained, "It will be completely different. We’re going to keep it short and sweet this time."
