According to Variety, Allen, 53, will be playing in the martial arts film, Redbelt. The movie will be directed by David Mamet for Sony Pictures Classics.
The actor will play opposite Emily Mortimer, Alice Braga, Rebecca Pidgeon, and some martial arts experts.
Allen will play an artist that is having marital problems, and he meets a master of martial arts when he is caught in a street fight.
Filming will begin in Los Angeles in June.
