Tyler will play Betty Ross, the love interest of Dr. Bruce Banner, alias: the Hulk. Louis Leterrier will direct the project.
Ross, a well-known character in the Hulk comics, was first introduced in 1962. She is a scientific colleague of Banner and joins him in the quest to rid him of the monster that lives within.
The movie will open with Ross separated from Banner, but with Hulk’s pursuit growing, she is drawn back into the life of Dr. Banner.
Jennifer Connelly played Ross in the 2003 film. The film was directed by Ang Lee and Eric Bana played the title role.
Filming is set to begin this summer in Toronto.
