The film was adapted from the book by Mariane Pearl, "A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of my Husband Danny Pearl", and recounts the kidnapping and murder of the journalist.
Jolie stars in the film with Denis O’Hare, Irfan Khan, Dan Futterman, Archie Panjabi, Sajid Hasan, Aly Khan and Will Patton.
A Mighty Heart was produced by Brad Pitt’s production company and will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival before opening in theatres in June.
