The What Goes Around…Comes Around singer called his ex-girlfriend to show his support. Timberlake told People magazine, "I called her because I worried about her."
The 26 year-old singer added, "She’s a great woman. I’m rooting for her," he said. "[It] seems like she’s getting everything under control now."
Timberlake, who was a member of the group ‘N Sync, and Spears talked about her decision to enter a detoxification centre in March.
At the moment, the star is single following his split from girlfriend Cameron Diaz. Of his single status, Timberlake said, "The advantages are that you don’t get in as many arguments, and the disadvantage is that you’re talking to yourself."
