According to Parade magazine, Berry attempted suicide following the end of her first marriage. The actress attempted to asphyxiate herself after splitting with baseball player David Justice.
The Die Another Day star explained, "My sense of worth was so low. I was sitting in my car, and I knew the gas was coming, when I had an image of my mother finding me."
Berry’s second marriage was to singer Eric Benet, but that relationship also had problems. The two even underwent sex therapy together.
