Gerard Rechnitzer alleges that Combs "intentionally, willfully, knowingly and unlawfully attacked, assaulted and battered" him during a party at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood following the Oscar Awards Ceremony.
In a lawsuit filed on March 2 in Los Angeles, Rechnitzer explains that he was accompanied by his girlfriend. According to the complaint, Diddy insulted the man before pushing him several meters.
A lawyer for the star explained, "This claim is completely baseless. It is just another example of an opportunist seeking to fabricate a lawsuit based on a flat out lie to try to take advantage of Mr. Combs celebrity status."
Rechnitzer is asking for a non-disclosed monetary settlement for punitive damages.
