According to the Hollywood Reporter, Halle Berry, 40, will be starring in the production Tulia.
Berry will play a famous attorney for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, which is investigating a drug incident in Texas where 46 black men were arrested in 1999.
The movie will be directed by Carl Franklin. It is based on the book written by Nate Blakeslee, Tulia: Race, Cocaine and Corruption in a Small Texas Town.
Filming will begin on May 1 in Louisiana.
