The Rolling Stones Top Music’s Rich List

For the second consecutive year, the Rolling Stones are topping the list of the wealthiest people in the American music industry.

Mick Jagger and his bandmates earned $150.6 million US in 2006, according to a study by Forbes magazine.
The biggest source of the revenue was earned by the band’s A Bigger Bang world tour.
Country music is always popular in the United States, which is one reason why Tim McGraw and Faith Hill share second place on the list, with a combined income of $132 million for 2006.  In third place is Rascal Flatts, with an income of $110.5.
According to the survey, musical acts who toured were the biggest earners.  Here is a complete list of the top ten:
