A New Project for Peter Gabriel

Singer Peter Gabriel is busy with new ventures.

According to The Sunday Times, the British musician will be releasing his next album in North America, without the help of a record label.  Gabriel does not have a contract for North American releases.

It is expected that the Don’t Give Up singer will earn two times the normal amount of money for the album as he would with a record label.

The artist, who plays several instruments, has gathered $4.6 million from private investors to record the disc.  At the moment, the album is untitled.

Following the North American release, Gabriel, 56, will collaborate with Warner Bros. Records to distribute the CD.
