According to Reuters, 50 Cent wants to publish a series of novellas about street kids. The rapper is already an author and has created his own clothing line.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, announced yesterday that he would be publishing the books under his label G-Unit Books. The star hopes to release six to eight books each year.
The stories were inspired by the world of hip-hop and life on the streets, which includes drugs and sex. Many of the characters and themes are straight from 50 Cent’s youth in the ghetto.
In 2005, 50 Cent starred in the film Get Rich or Die Trying, which was based on his life. In 2003, the rapper released his first album, which sold 20 million copies world wide.
