Nominations Announced for Genie Awards

The French-Canadian film Bon Cop, Bad Cop earned several bids for the upcoming Genie Awards.

The film, which is the most-rented film in Canada, received thirteen nominations for the awards ceremony.  Among others, the film is competing for the titles of best film, and best actor for both Patrick Huard and Colm Feore.

In the best film category, other French-Canadian films include Maurice Richard, Le guide de la petite vengeance, and Un dimache à Kigali.

The Genie Awards, which recognises excellence in Canadian cinema, will be held on February 13 in Toronto.
