According to People magazine, Simpson and Mayer enjoyed a romantic weekend in the city. Their on-again, off-again romance seems to be back on. The two stars welcomed 2007 in the VIP room of the Hudson Hotel.
Simpson and Mayer also partied with a group of friends across the room from Christina Aguilera’s entourage. The Dukes of Hazzard star and her boyfriend also hung out of the nightclub Stereo.
During the long weekend, the two were spotted together having romantic dinners and shopping at Barneys.
Last November, Simpson, 26, and Mayer were together frequently in Los Angeles. A source close to the singer explained, "They’re fond of each other. There’s a flirtation."
