According to Variety, Bynes will play the lead role in the project, which will be directed by filmmaker Joe Nussbaum for Morgan Creek Productions.
The story follows a college freshman who pledges her late mother’s sorority. She is soon living with seven outcasts and vows to lead them to social success on campus.
Bynes, 20, will be joined by Sara Paxton and Matt Long in the film.
