In the film, we are shown the early years of Hannibal Lecter, the evil doctor who we’ve met in the previous films, Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon. The new installment takes place in Lithuania during World War II. Young Hannibal survives several horrors of war as a refugee in France.
The film stars Gaspard Ulliel, Gong Li, Rhys Ifans, Richard Brake and Kevin McKidd.
