Metric Works On Next Album

The members of the band Metric have started working on their next CD.

According to Billboard, the Canadian group plans a second disc.  Their first album, Live It Out, was released in 2005.  Keyboardist and singer Emily Haines told Billboard that there will be some changes on their next music collection.

Haines also has released a solo album, Knives Don’t Have Your Back.  The singer explained that Metric’s next disc is already being influenced by some of her solo work.

The band members have been working on a recording studio near Seattle.  Haines describes their recording sessions as, "the opening stages of just hanging out somewhere and working on music. It’s just writing at this stage."

Over the holidays, the members of Metric will take a break.  Haines will begin a solo tour on January 4, while Metric will begin touring in the United Kingdom in February.
