Jennifer Lopez is both producing and starring in the project with her husband. The story follows the life of Hector Lavoe (played by Anthony), a Puerto Rican singer who finds fame in America.
Lavoe quickly found fans in New York and fell in love with the beautiful Puchi (played by Lopez). The artist had his own style with both Puerto Rican and American influences, which is now known today as salsa music.
The cast of the film also includes Federico Castelluccio, Romi Dias and Vincent Laresca.
