Guns N’ Roses Announces Date for Next Disc

The next CD from the band Guns N’ Roses will be released in a few months.

According to the website of the group’s lead singer, Axl Rose, Chinese Democracy will be in stores on March 6.  The artist, 44, also announced that he has split from his long-time manager, Merck Mercuriadis.

Rose has been working on this album for more than ten years.  The November Rain singer wrote on his website, "Overcoming the endless and seemingly insane amount of obstacles faced by all involved, notwithstanding the emotional endured by everyone: the fans, the band, our road crew and business team has at many times seemed for all like a bad dream where one wakes up only to find they are still in the nightmare and unfortunately this time it has been played out for over a decade in real life."

Earlier this year, Guns N’ Roses cancelled several shows, and it was previously announced that Chinese Democracy would be released by the end of 2006.  At the moment, all of the band’s January concerts have been cancelled.

Chinese Democracy will be the first CD from Guns N’ Roses since 1993.  All of the original band members have left the group except for Axl Rose.
