According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hathaway has joined the cast of the supernatural thriller being produced by Mandate Pictures. Filmmaker Rodrigo Garcia will direct the feature film.
In the film, Hathaway will play a grief counselor who helps six plane crash survivors, and develops a special relationship with one of them. When the survivors begin disappearing one by one, she suspects a conspiracy and vows to learn the truth.
Anne Hathaway, 24, will begin filming Passengers in 2007.
