According to Variety magazine, Dennis Quaid will be starring in the drama which follows the life of football player Ernie Davis. Davis was the first black player to win the Heisman Trophy, before having his career cut short after being diagnosed with luekemia at the age of 23. Director Gary Fleder has been hired to lead the project.
