According to Hello magazine, the two stars have requested a marriage license in New York. No date has been announced for a wedding, although rumours are circulating that the marriage will take place soon.
Last year, the two stars of the film Brokeback Mountain purchased a townhouse together in Brooklyn, New York. They are already the parents of a little girl. Jake Gyllenhaal, who also starred in the film, is the godfather of the baby. Gyllenhaal was paired with Williams in the film, and later said, "We made out, and they had a baby!"
Currently Ledger, 27, and Williams, 26, are very busy. They are starring in the films Batman, The Dark Night and The Tourist.
