According to Variety magazine, Hathaway will be starring in the film adaptation of the popular television series which aired in the late 1960s.
Hathaway, who starred in the films The Devil Wears Prada and Brokeback Mountain, will play Agent 99. Barbara Feldon played the original Agent 99 in the television series. Steve Carrell will play Agent 86, which was originally played by Don Adams.
The project will be directed by Peter Segal and Village Roadshow will produce. Filming is set to begin in March, 2007.
