According to Hello magazine, Yohane Banda married Flora Kamanga just months after Madonna began adoption procedures for one year-old David. The wedding ceremony took place on Friday in Malawi.
The 32 year-old man explained, "I am happy again because I can have a family and David has another mother. He can now grow knowing that he has another mother in Malawi."
David Banda’s biological mother died shortly after giving birth to him. His father has made it clear that he wants his son to live in England with his new family. The Hung Up singer and her husband, Guy Ritchie hope to make the adoption official following their evaluation period.
In Africa, several human rights groups have protested the adoption, claiming that adoption laws were not respected due to Madonna’s celebrity status.
